Mid West events. Don't miss the Great Lakes Sea Kayak Symposium. Grand Marais, Mi

 
You'll be telling your friends for years how they missed it after you sign up today and attend the Great Lakes Sea Kayak Symposium, presented by Down Wind Sports, this July 13th-15th.  Werner is proud to be a sponsor for another year as well as having coaches like, Suzanne Hutchinson, Kelly Blades, Ben Lawry, Danny Mongno and so many more on hand to show you how to fun on the gorgeous Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore in kayaks.  Be sure to also check out Jake Stachovak, from Wisconsin, presenting on the "Portage to Portage" sea kayak trip he did in 2010 sponsored  by Werner.

 
Check out the schedule of tours for Thursday and classes all weekend, but don't forget to try out some boat demos and of course pick up the gear you need at the Down Wind Sports mobile store.  The night life includes anything a paddler can want, from mild to wild.  We really hope to see you there.

Check out this weekend's "Jetty Jam" presented by Urban Surf at Jetty Island in Everett, Wa.

 
"Jetty Jam" is going to be a great board sport event for the entire family so be sure to check out the schedule of events for skim board and kite board.  The Werner staff, located just a short 30 minute ride away in Sultan, is SUPer pumped about the Stand Up Paddle events.

Rumors are starting to fly from the production crew that Trent Tullis and Josh Heinz, 2 of the people leading the way in handcrafting our paddles here in Washington state, may be standing up and going head to head around the Island.  Our Director of R&D, Andy Bridge will be trying to out duel the top dogs in the Elite Class, but don't blink or you will miss those guys going buy.  Bring the whole family, have some fun, try out some boards and of course Werner Paddles.

Northwest Paddling Festival: Seattle Washington

The Northwest Paddling Festival is happening this weekend in Seattle. We are hoping for great weather, but regardless of rain or sun, please join us on the water to test paddle, see demonstrations, take a class or join in a fun race.  We look forward to seeing you there. June 25th, 9am – 6pm and 26th, 9am – 5pm
at Jack Block Park in West Seattle, WA.

"It's definitely unusual to use the words "short sleeve weather
and "Northern WV creeking" at the same time."  Werner Paddles regional team paddler, Trafford Mcrae and his buddies Matt and Steve have been taking full advantage of the late spring rains, bagging the Upper and Lower Blackwater in about 6 hours one day and then hitting up the Senca.
